Hello all

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  Our was fantastic.  Slept in (a little) on Friday since we all had the day off. Got everyone fed, showered, and dressed.  That took forever in and of itself!  Got ready for the BBQ and hit the road.  Drove down south to just outisde of Portland.  It only took us 3 hours to get there which was amazing...I was expecting massive traffic. So anyway.....BBQ was awesome.  Met a really interesting new couple...friend of my sisters.  The lady volunteers at a human society down there.  She invited us to come visit the next day and play with the new puppies they had recently got in.  Of course she offered this around the kids which made it next to impossible to say no.  Of course mom and dad had to lay down the law...."We're just going to visit the puppies and to cheer them up....we are NOT getting a puppy.  I repeat NOT getting a puppy."

Ah crap.  I should've known better.  I should've seen it coming.  I know myself too well. 

Turns out that I was the one talking  dad into it.  The dang thing was just so stinkin' cute!!!  I have been trying to post a picture but something keeps going wrong.  Soon...very soon you'll get to see her I hope.  Anyway...she's a golden retriever mix (she's kinda dark brown but has the hair of a golden retriever).

We haven't named her.  We can't agree on a name yet that fits her.  She is extremely sweet, really smart and playful.  If ya'll think of any good names let me know!!  We'll definitely consider any and all at this point.  I'm leaning towards Lilly...but hubby thinks it is a touch too girly.  meh.
